{"id":24,"date":"2018-06-20T11:00:44","date_gmt":"2018-06-20T15:00:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.passionatelypets.com\/blog\/?p=24"},"modified":"2018-06-25T16:36:31","modified_gmt":"2018-06-25T20:36:31","slug":"passionately-pets-always-keeps-your-home-and-your-pets-safe","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.passionatelypets.com\/blog\/passionately-pets-always-keeps-your-home-and-your-pets-safe\/","title":{"rendered":"Be More Confident When You Go Away with These 5 Safety Measures from Passionately Pets"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Here are several ways Passionately Pets has been keeping our four-legged friends happy and safe since 2007:<\/h3>\n<p class=\"lead\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h4><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-25 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.passionatelypets.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/logo.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"36\" height=\"37\" \/><\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>We check your home to make sure everything is okay<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It is our job to patrol your home daily looking for anything out of the ordinary or potentially dangerous.\u00a0 This way, we can stop the damage from worsening and possibly fix it before you return, keeping your pets and home safe and secure.<\/p>\n<p>On a routine midday dog walking visit, our walker, Alvaro, discovered smoke in a client\u2019s apartment.\u00a0 He immediately removed the dog from the smoke-filled home, called 911 and alerted the Passionately Pets Management Team of the situation.\u00a0 He kept the dog out of the building until the fire department came and cleared a fire on another floor. \u00a0When it was safe to go back inside, our walker opened windows and aired out the apartment.\u00a0 The clients rushed home from work to comfort their dog and make sure she didn\u2019t show any signs of damage from smoke inhalation.\u00a0 The dog was fine and in good health because we were there at the right time.<\/p>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-27 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.passionatelypets.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/ceiling.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"159\" height=\"119\" \/>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: Georgia, Times New Roman, Bitstream Charter, Times, serif;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>During a pet sitting visit, a leak was discovered in a client\u2019s home from the apartment above.\u00a0 It was so bad, the kitchen ceiling was soaked and collapsed into the cat\u2019s feeding station, contaminating their food and water.\u00a0 The sitter cleaned up the mess, relocated the cat\u2019s feeding station and provided fresh food and water. The client notified maintenance for the building and they were able to fix the damage before the client\u2019s return.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We have arrived to the indistinguishable smell of gas.\u00a0 We checked the water heater and stove and nothing was left on or out of place.\u00a0 We contacted the fire department who found a leak outside the home and was able to stop it within in a few minutes.<\/p>\n<h5>PRO TIP: Turn off the water to big appliances like the washer when you are away to reduce the risk of leaks.<\/h5>\n<h5>PRO TIP: Turn off the water outside your home once temperatures drop below freezing to reduce the risk of pipe bursts<\/h5>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"wp-image-25 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/www.passionatelypets.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/logo.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"36\" height=\"37\" \/><\/strong><\/h4>\n<h4><\/h4>\n<h4><strong>We deter people from targeting your home while you are away or at work\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Whether we are walking your dog every day in Northern Virginia or caring for all of your pets while you are out of town, our constant arrival gives your home a lived-in look.\u00a0 We bring in your mail, newspapers and packages so they don\u2019t pile up outside, a signal that no one is home.
